Domain

Sensors

The physical side of embedded systems: what a sensor is actually measuring, the physics or math behind how it measures it, and how that turns into a number your firmware can use. Kept separate from Embedded (which is about the microcontroller itself) and Protocols (which is about the wire these sensors happen to talk over) — this domain is specifically about the sensing element and the real-world quantity on the other end of it.

Scope note

How a sensor's readings actually reach your code — I2C register reads, SPI transfers, UART sentences — is covered from the wire side in Protocols and cross-linked from each sensor page. This domain focuses on what's happening on the sensing side of that wire.
